The Elephant Shine
This painting is really what got me to start on my metallic animals series. Elephants are so big and powerful, but also, probably the most gentle and affectionate creatures that walk this earth. I am incorporating metallic paint colors that represent the ‘precious metals’ they identify to bring attention to the fact that these animals are also precious. On this work, I outlined him with gold metallic to symbolize his spirits glow as “pure gold.”
